Simplemente me ha encantado la novela！！！ No se parece prácticamente en nada a la película， y leer el libro de mi saga favorita pues me ha gustado muchísimo。 Es súper interesante desde la historia hasta las partes en la que explica sobre la genética， ordenadores， etc。 Otro punto personal es que ha hecho que me guste más el personaje de Ian Malcolm y que me disguste John Hammond。 Hay que decir que la película parece adaptada para niños en comparación de la novela， que es muchísimo más gore， explíc Simplemente me ha encantado la novela！！！ No se parece prácticamente en nada a la película， y leer el libro de mi saga favorita pues me ha gustado muchísimo。 Es súper interesante desde la historia hasta las partes en la que explica sobre la genética， ordenadores， etc。 Otro punto personal es que ha hecho que me guste más el personaje de Ian Malcolm y que me disguste John Hammond。 Hay que decir que la película parece adaptada para niños en comparación de la novela， que es muchísimo más gore， explícita， etcLa película es una historia de aventuras y la novela de horror。Recomiendo totalmente la lectura。 。。。more

It's hard to separate the novel now from the movie that influenced pop culture 30（！） years ago， but I had a fun time reading this。 I can't say its a very deep novel， nor do I think it doesn't have some pacing and editing issues （especially in the second half）， however， it's a great popcorn sci-fi book that I'm not surprised quickly became a well loved movie。 It's hard to separate the novel now from the movie that influenced pop culture 30（！） years ago， but I had a fun time reading this。 I can't say its a very deep novel， nor do I think it doesn't have some pacing and editing issues （especially in the second half）， however， it's a great popcorn sci-fi book that I'm not surprised quickly became a well loved movie。 。。。more

i wanted to give this a read since jurassic park is my favorite film， and the book is so wildly different！！ basically most of the characters are the same but who they are and what they do， what happens to them， is just so different in the book。 i really enjoyed it！ i couldn’t put it down in the end because it was so thrilling and i needed to know！

A classic for a reason。 This was a re-read for the podcast but frankly， even though this was written 33 years ago （OMG） it's still timely。 And I can overlook the Too Much Science sections because the dinosaur parts are SO AWESOME。 Also， I think it's time for a full re-read of all of Michael Crichton's work: Sphere is the best book you've never read。 A classic for a reason。 This was a re-read for the podcast but frankly， even though this was written 33 years ago （OMG） it's still timely。 And I can overlook the Too Much Science sections because the dinosaur parts are SO AWESOME。 Also， I think it's time for a full re-read of all of Michael Crichton's work: Sphere is the best book you've never read。 。。。more

Obviously this franchise is so popular and based off this amazing first book in the series。 If you like sci-fi， you would like this！ Sci-fi with a tiny bit of thrills。 My husband and I actually read this at the same time and it was fun because we both really enjoyed it。 I will definitely be reading the next one。
